Mikor a lenti képeket készítettem, találtam pár madártollat is a vízparton, ami azt jelentette, hogy korábban madarak is repültek ott.
Akkor viszont annyira magányos volt minden, hogy ez szinte hihetetlennek tűnt.
A hangjuk sem hallatszott még távolról sem, teljes volt a csend körülöttünk, és ezt a hangulatot mi sem törtük meg szavakkal, csak azt néztük, hogyan festi szürkévé az égbolt a vizet.
Februári alkony jött, és én el is időztem ott egy darabig a kis tó partján, mert a víz látványa mindig vonzott.
A tollat békén hagytam, nem akartam felszedni, mert miért is tettem volna. Maradjon ott, ahova lehullott.
Ezen a héten elbúcsúzunk a februártól, és jönnek majd a színesedő alkonyatok az aranyhidakkal a vízek felszínén.
Erre is gondoltam, miközben továbbra is azt a kis zöldesszürke tavat néztem kavicsokkal a talpam alatt.

Dear Viola, the farewell of winter can be also nice, and I saw it. There were subdued colors, silence, and birds' feathers that showed that there had been also sounds before.

Bird feathers have totemic significance to many Indigenous people, especially here in North America. Once I found a feather of a Red-shafted Flicker on Vancouver Island and a young man from one of the local tribes told me that it meant that I would have blessings on my journey. A great sentiment, don’t you think?

If we want to believe in them, then we do, and we keep within ourselves even a sentence that means something good to us.
