Ha nyár, akkor az Őrség is, mert mi mindig akkor voltunk ott. A felfokozott tempójú világunkban a nyugalom, az egyszerűség és a múlt újra megtalálása. Régen jártunk már arra, és pár napja megtaláltam egy bejegyzésemet, amit akkor írtam a blogomban, amikor egyszer éppen visszatértünk onnan. Szavak, felsorolások, hangok, ízek, látványok vagyis emlékképek vannak benne:
"Visszajöttünk az Őrségből. Friss minden élmény, ma délután értünk vissza. Érett, szinte zörgő búzamezők, távolban a hőség remegő levegőjén átsejlő aratások kavarognak bennem, nádtetős házak, omló vályogfal, rendezett porták, traktor zaja, reggeli kakaskukorékolás, esti kutyaugatás, a vérfű bordója a zöld réten, haranglábak, hűvös szoba a tikkasztó séták után, Fazekas Napok Magyarszombatfán, üdítő bodzaszörp egy kocsmában és frissen préselt tökmagolaj illata... Azt hittem, már soha többet nem látok búzavirágot. Éppen a napokban gondoltam arra, hogy milyen régen találkoztam vele."

Dear Viola, I really like Őrség. It consists of 19 villages, and all of them preserve their traditions. Peaceful, calm, beautiful environment and simplicity. We have been there several times to recharge, forget the present world and go back a little to the past, because traditions preserve the past. We have had accommodation where there was no TV, and this was one of the greatest joys for us.
